Chris Smith is a proud native of Perry, Georgia, having been born and raised in the community he is dedicated to serving. He graduated from The Westfield Schools in Perry, where he developed a strong foundation of values and community spirit. Committed to lifelong learning and growth, Chris earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Valdosta State University, equipping him with the knowledge to foster local economic development and support small businesses.

A dedicated public servant and veteran, Chris served our country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army. His military service instilled in him integrity, leadership, and a sense of duty—qualities he brings to his commitment to Perry.

In addition to his military background, Chris is a former local small business owner, understanding firsthand the challenges and opportunities faced by local entrepreneurs. His experience in business has given him a practical approach to economic growth, job creation, and responsible stewardship of community resources.

Chris is also a licensed private pilot, embodying a spirit of exploration, precision, and vision—qualities he intends to bring to Perry's future. He believes in fostering a community that balances growth with quality of life, ensuring Perry remains a welcoming, prosperous, and thriving place for families and businesses alike.
